Linda Adato, born in England, studied at Hornsey College of Art and, after immigrating to the US,
at UCLA. Her work has been shown throughout the United States and abroad. Among her awards are those from the National Academy of Design, Boston Printmakers, Audubon Artists and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Her work is in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, British Museum, DeCordova Museum, Duxbury Art Complex Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, New York Public Library and other institutions. Linda Adato teaches printmaking at the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, CT. She currently serves as president of The Society of American Graphic Artists, a national organization of fine art printmakers.
